BCSI's President, James Marchessault, was awarded the 2008 Minnesota Small Business Person of the Year! Innovativeness, Response to Adversity, Staying Power, Growth in Sales & Employees, Financial Reports, and Dedication to the Community were some of the deciding factors in this award. Each year since 1963, the President has issued a proclamation calling for the celebration of Small Business Week. National Small Business Week recognizes outstanding small business owners for their personal successes and contributions to our Nation's economy. This year, SBA will honor the estimated 26.8 million small businesses in America. Small businesses represent more than 99 percent of all employers, provide 60 to 80 percent of the net new jobs, and generate a majority of America's innovations.
